Even though the ICC Cricket World Cup has been kicked off a week ago, the wait for the Indian Cricket Fans to see their country take the ground has been a long one. While almost all teams has finished playing all matches, India is set to open their campaign against a battered South Africa who lost both their matches, one to the hosts England and the other to the dark horses Bangladesh.

Temperatures are sure to soar in Southampton as the Indian Cricket Team Captain was termed “immature” by the South African pacer Kagiso Rabada. Speaking to the Press on Tuesday, Virat Kohli responded that he doesn’t need to answer Kagiso Rabada in a Press Conference. However, Kohli added that the team needed to be weary of the 24-year old South African and should find ways to score runs against him. The South African Skipper Faf Du Plessis replied he had no clue on what the context was and that he is mentally occupied with other things.

South Africa boasts of a better head to head record against India in World Cups, having won 3 out of the 5 matches played. But the Men in Blue start off as favorites in Wednesday’s match on paper due to the dismal form of the Proteas and the balanced squad of India. However Kohli denied to take South Africa lightly.

The Rose bowl stadium in Southampton is expected to see another fascinating contest after Pakistan stunned the hosts England in a thriller.
