According to Sources, the reporter went on to ask the impact of BJP’s stands on various schemes in the state like the hydrocarbon project and ONGC for which Mr. Krishnasamy said the Press Conference was not to address the issues but to celebrate the 2019 Lok Sabha Mandate.

After repeated accusations of the media spreading false propaganda about the NDA alliance, Mr. Krishnaswamy perturbed the media when he asked the caste of a reporter who questioned him, which led to heated arguments.

Thol. Thirumavalavan, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi who won in a tight contest in Chidambaram constituency shared his displeasure on Mr. Krishnasamy’s comment, “I heard about the incident from media. It is quite sad and shocking he resorted to asking such a question”, he said.
