“Modi is a lone man with a charismatic personality, if we look into Indian politics, After Nehru it was Indira Gandhi, then came Rajiv who had an untimely death. Vajpayee was another leader who had charisma and now Modi.”
Just days after the results of the Lok Sabha Election was declared, in which the Narendra Modi led BJP government swept all of India except for the southern-most part of the country, the superstar from the south has once again hailed the re-elected PM and confirmed his attendance for the swearing in ceremony which is to be held in Delhi.

Speaking to the press outside his residence, Rajinikanth once again asserted his affinity to Modi as he credited the success of the NDA to the leader. “Modi is a lone man with a charismatic personality, if we look into Indian politics, After Nehru it was Indira Gandhi, then came Rajiv who had an untimely death. Vajpayee was another leader who had charisma and now Modi.”, he said. He went on to compare the BJP leader with the likes of Southern political stalwarts like Kamaraj, Anna, Kalaignar, MGR and Jayalalitha.
Rajinikanth accepted that the Modi wave did not work in Tamil Nadu and Kerala and that the southern states had a strong anti-Modi wave.

“Once there is a wave, it is difficult to swim against it, the way to win is to go with the waves”, he commented.
Rajinikanth has always been on spotlight whenever he has made a comment on the BJP leader, from the time he said ” When 10 persons go against one person, who is stronger?” to the “You did it !!” tweet by the superstar on May 23.
The actor further mentioned that the thoughts on entering TN politics remains the same and is sure to set the state on fire when it happens.
